Pelvic floor therapy is recommended to treat a wide range of bladder issues including:
- Various levels of incontinence
- An overactive bladder
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Chronic constipation
Bladder dysfunction is more common in menopausal women as a result of hormonal changes and aging bladder muscles, but also is seen in pregnant and postpartum women due to hormonal changes and the stress associated with pregnancy and childbirth.
This therapy is non-surgical and drug-free, and can also be used to treat pelvic pain disorders.
