A native of Atlanta, Dr. Hendricks is a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens, where she received a B.A. in Spanish. She earned a Master of Public Health from Mercer University in Atlanta and while there, served as a graduate assistant in the Mercer University Department of Public Health and as an intern for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia. Dr. Hendricks is a recipient of The Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship and a member of Delta Omega Honor Society in Public Health.
After earning her medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, she completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, where she was named Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Oncology. She most recently served as gynecology clinic chief at Atrium Health where she assisted teaching incoming residents and oversaw the implementation of new clinic policies.
Dr. Hendricks is passionate about women's healthcare and is an advocate for decreasing the maternal morbidity/mortality rate among women of color in Georgia. In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology, she has a special interest in women's sexual health and preventative care, managing high-risk pregnancies and performing minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic-assisted hysterectomies.
Dr. Hendricks spends her time outside of the office attending shows at the Fox Theater, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. She joined Gynecology & Obstetrics of DeKalb in 2024.
